About Just Divvy
Just Divvy makes simple, practical tools for couples and families going through a divorce or separation. The aim is fewer arguments over numbers, and more room to move forward.

A set of online tools, one for each step: getting organized, dividing what you own, dividing your things, and sharing what the kids cost.
- Balance Sheet lets spouses, with their lawyers or mediator, list every asset and debt and agree who gets what, item by item. It's free to start.
- Ledger is a free shared expense tracker for parents: it only tracks the kids' expenses two parents share.
- Untangle (checklists and reminders) and Belongings (dividing household things) are on the way.
- Free tools that run in your browser: an equalization calculator, an often-missed checklist and a checklist of accounts to separate.
- The free starter pack: an asset and debt spreadsheet, a printable worksheet, an often-missed checklist and a preparation guide.
Why we built it
When a family separates, the hardest conversations are often about money: what there is, what it's worth, and who keeps what. Those conversations get expensive when they happen in meetings billed by the hour, and they get heated when nobody is looking at the same numbers.
Our tools put everything in one shared place, so both people see the same list and the same math. Agreeing one item at a time is calmer than arguing over everything at once. And arriving organized means shorter meetings with the professionals who help you.
What we believe
- Calm over conflict. Plain words, clear numbers, and nothing designed to take sides.
- Practical over clever. Tools that work like the spreadsheets people already use, without the back-and-forth.
- Private by design. We never sell your information, use it for advertising or use it to train AI models. The free downloads work entirely on your own device. The apps use only the cookies they need to work, and no tracking cookies. The details are in our Privacy Policy.
What Just Divvy doesn't do
- We're not a co-parenting app. Ledger, our free tool for parents, is an expense tracker only: no messaging, calendars or custody schedules. Everything else we make is for couples and families going through a separation.
- We don't give legal, tax or financial advice. Our tools record and calculate what you enter and agree. Our guides help you get organized, and send the legal and tax questions to your attorney, mediator or tax advisor, with the questions to ask.
- We don't take sides. Both people see the same list and the same numbers.
- We don't decide anything for you. Every division in Balance Sheet is proposed and accepted by the people in the case.
How we write our guides
- Practical, not legal. Our guides cover what you can do yourself: gathering, listing, organizing. Where a legal or tax question comes up, we give you the question to ask your attorney, mediator or tax advisor instead of an answer.
- The arithmetic is checked. Every worked example adds up. The main one, Alex and Taylor, is the same in the guides, the spreadsheet page and the sample PDF.
- Sources are official. When we point you elsewhere, it's to government sites and official searches.
- Dated and corrected. Each guide shows when it was last updated. If you spot a mistake, email dev@remarqable.io and we'll fix it.
How is it paid for?
Just Divvy is free at present: Ledger, the starter pack, and Balance Sheet, where full access (more than 10 items, and inviting others) is by request while it's new. If we ever introduce fees, we'll tell you before they apply, and you won't be charged unless you agree. There are no ads, and we don't make money from your data.
